Dow Corning Reformulating Molykote Greases to Remove Azo Dyes
MIDLAND, Mich. - May 25, 2006 - In response to recent European Union regulatory directives (76/769/EEC) relating to restrictions on the use of certain azo colorants, Dow Corning is reformulating its Molykote® brand industrial greases to remove azo dye compounds.

The greases impacted by this change include Molykote® 33 Medium, Molykote® 33 Light, Molykote® 44 Medium, Molykote® 44 Light, and Molykote® 55 O-Ring. Customers may notice a slight variation in product color with the new formulations, but product performance will not be affected.
The azo-free formulation greases will be introduced over the next few months.
