Cherry Introduces 20 Amp Double-Pole Rocker Switch



PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI Cherry Electrical Products announces the availability of the new YR Series power rocker switch with 20 Amp switching capability. The YR series uses heavy-duty silver alloy contacts to perform high-current switching and to achieve a horsepower rating of ¾ HP 125VAC. Typical applications include appliances, office equipment and lighting control.

Cherry's YR series is available in a wide variety of colors and in both lighted and non-lighted designs. Typical lighted designs employ neon bulbs for use at 125VAC or 250VAC. Within the non-lighted family, options include single-throw and double-throw devices, in both maintained and momentary action.

Recommended panel cutout for the YR series is 30mm x 22mm. The maximum operating temperature is 105°C, and standard termination is accomplished with 6.3mm quick-connect tabs.

An optional waterproof boot protects the YR series from moisture and dust.
All standard versions of the new YR series are UL, CSA, and VDE approved, and all carry the CE mark. UL and CSA ratings are 20A 125VAC/16A 250VAC. The YR series is available in stock.
