New Supercapacitor at Cornell Dubilier
Cornell Dubilier Electronics, Inc. (CDE) announces the release of the new Type EDL, Electronic Double Layer Capacitor. The EDL is a 15 year long-life capacitor, specifically designed for use in battery back-up applications where memory hold-up is critical when battery replacement is necessary.
Type EDL is available in horizontal and vertical radial leaded stacked coin configurations, a cylindrical case with radial leads and a surface mountable package. The capacitance ranges from 0.22 F to 70 F with a voltage range of 2.1 Vdc to 5.5 Vdc depending on the value. The EDL boast unlimited charging and discharging capability and extends battery life up to 1.6 times longer. Recycling the EDL is not necessary and it offers first class performance with economy pricing. Typical price range for the values being offered at this time are .464 to $5.00 each unit. Lead-time is stock to 13 wks from authorized CDE distributors beginning December 1, 2006.
