identification and traceability of large or heavy parts even in hard to reach areas with the new Heavy-Duty Portable Pro-Pen from Marking Methods, Inc.
The unit marks a wide variety of materials and surfaces induding machined, flat, concave and circular, and is capable of marking horizontally or vertically. A 2.4" X 1.6" (60mm X 40mm) area can be marked with characters from .04" to 1.2" (1 to 30 mm) in .01" (0.1mm) increments.
Applications include automotive, aviation, aerospace, oil well servicing, metalworking, military, transportation and other industries where robust marking of metal parts is required.
The system is supplied with a battery pack and can also run off 110 or 220 VAC wall current. Self-contained and equipped with a view screen, detachable keyboard and integrated software, the unit does not require a separate PC.
The software is extremely easy to program via a clearly illustrated CD-ROM manual, thus permitting various operators to use the equipment without in-depth training.
The low maintenance unit uses no consumables, thus providing highly cost effective operation over time. The price is $6495. Options include a dual Ni-Cad battery pack; rapid charger and Windows® based software with RS232 cable for downloading marking files and logos.
