John Wright Company Introduces New Door Top Bolt for Double Doors

Wrightsville, PA – John Wright's new Door Top Bolt adds to its extensive line of traditional door hardware. The Door Top Bolt offers a convenient way to secure the inactive half of a double door pair using a spring-loaded bolt and a classic pull-chain release.  The Top Bolt is made from cast iron in a time-honored Art Deco pattern with geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation reminiscent of the roaring 1920s.  Fit and finish are modern with smooth operation and powder coating for lasting service.

Generally, door bolts are used on a set of double doors where one of the doors is only occasionally opened. John Wright's new Door Top Bolt is surface mounted for ease of installation (mortising of the door not required) and comes with mounting screws. The 24-inch pull chain conveniently releases the bolt and can be shortened if need.  Door Top Bolts work with John Wright's many existing accessories and a matching door bottom bolt will be released shortly.
