ETS-Lindgren Introduces Reliable, Long-Lasting Single Knife Edge Door (SKE) for EMI/RFI Shielding
ETS-Lindgren, an ESCO Technologies Company, announces the availability of a Single Knife Edge (SKE) Door for EMI/RFI shielded enclosures. The SKE Door features a precision formed knife edge, a proven Recessed Contact Mechanism (RCM), and a two-point latching system, all of which provide reliable shielding and easy maintenance. The SKE Door may be installed in new or existing enclosures, and is ideal for heavy industrial environments and frequent use applications.
The SKE Door is well suited for modular, welded, and pan-formed RF shielded enclosures, as well as anechoic chambers. Because of its strength, rigidity and a surface that is flush with the inner chamber wall, the SKE can optimize the application of resistive and ferrite tile absorbers. The door's precision-machined aluminum hinges allow for sag-free mounting and smooth operation, while its clip-in-place beryllium copper fingerstock with a removal channel make replacement easy.
Standard SKE doors have a 20-minute fire rating and measure 3 ft. by 7 ft., with custom sizes up to 25 ft. by 25 ft. also available. When tested in accordance with MIL-STD-285, NSA 65-6/NSA 94-106, MIL-STD-285/IEEE 299, or EN 50147-1, the standard SKE Door provides shielding attenuation levels of 110 dB at frequencies up to 1 GHz, 100 dB up to 18 GHz.
