Toshiba Launches Easy-to-Install Vandal Resistant Dome Camera
IRVINE, CA, MARCH 1, 2005 - Surveillance cameras designed to monitor criminals often turn into the target of their attacks. That's why Toshiba has introduced its new IK-VR01A, a vandal-resistant dome camera featuring a rugged metal housing that withstands heavy impact and tampering, plus is IP66 rated for water- and dust-resistance.
Ideal for tackling vandal-prone areas in malls, airports, schools, public buildings or prisons, the Toshiba IK-VR01A offers security professionals sharp color video in a variety of lighting environments. Key features of the imaging system include a powerful 1/3-inch CCD that delivers 480 TV lines of resolution, a high-quality Vari Focal lens, advanced day/night (color cut) imaging to enable 24/7 surveillance, lowlight sensitivity to 0.4Lux, and a clean 50dB signal-to-noise ratio that optimizes its performance with a digital video recorder.
Installers will appreciate the camera's stylish appearance, compact (6.7 x 5.8 inches) footprint, modifiable mounts and domes, and simple analog connectivity. The labor saving mounting enables fast, hassle-free installation virtually anywhere, including into a wide variety of electrical junction boxes. Plus, the IK-VR01A is literally four cameras in one: customers are given the choice of tinted or clear dome covers, as well as either flush or surface mounting.
The Toshiba IK-VR01A camera is expected to ship in March 2005. MSRP has not been determined. The camera package includes tinted and clear dome covers, the mounting base, manual, monitor out harness wire, and necessary hardware.
