Universal GX-4000 Replacement Panel Available with Day-Lite Translucent Slats
MILWAUKEE--The Rite-Hite Aftermarket Corporation announced today that the Universal(TM) GX-4000 panel is now available with Day-Lite(TM) Translucent slats. The Day-Lite Translucent slat option allows natural light into the dock area and plant, making the loading dock area safer.
"When addressing loading dock door issues, we found that dock personnel were looking for innovative ways to add more light in the loading dock area," Rite-Hite Aftermarket President and CEO Paul Maly said. "The new translucent slat option gives you the flexibility in how much light you would like at the dock."
Made from an extruded acrylic material, the full-width 6-inch high Day-Lite Translucent slats can be easily retro-fitted to a standard vinyl Universal GX-4000 slat or panel. When used in combination with white colored vinyl GX-4000 slats to build a replacement door panel, the acrylic Translucent slats let natural light enter the loading dock area.
On a standard 24-inch high door panel, a single Day-Lite Translucent slat or two double-stacked slats would occupy the center slat positions, while standard GX-4000 slats would be located at the other positions.
The Day-Lite Translucent Slats let light pass through, but diffuses it so that objects on the other side are not clearly distinguishable. When Day-Lite slats are used with conventional windows, it gives the ultimate light and dock visibility package.
The Day-Lite slats also have been designed to work with the Universal GX-4000 Ventilation Screen panel. The GX-4000 Ventilation Panel can be retrofitted to most existing sectional doors, and can fit doors up to 14-foot 2-inches in width to allow additional air into the facility and helps comply with United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) Security Guidelines for Food Processors.
