Original Press Release:

SensComp New Ranging Module 9000 Series

LIVONIA, Michigan, -- June 5, 2006 - SensComp is pleased to announce the introduction of our new "9000 Ranging Module" and "9000 OEM Kit".

As a dynamic growing company, SensComp Inc. is constantly endeavoring to create and design new products for our customers that make it even easier to use our sensors. Our latest design does just that.

We are now offering our popular Ultrasonic Ranging Module in a version that supports our Series 9000 Piezoelectric Transducer. As a matched component pair, this module, when used with our Series 9000 Transducer, provides distance measurement and proximity detection from 1 foot to 18 feet (0.3 to 5.5 meters).

The audible sound of Piezoelectric Transducers is much less than comparable Electrostatic Transducers. For those conditions where the audible "clicking" sound of our Series 600 and Series 7000 Electrostatic Transducers becomes objectionable, the Series 9000 may be the optimum solution.

In addition to the 9000 Ranging Module, SensComp also provides the Series 9000 OEM Kit for prototype and feasibility studies. It can also be used in the classroom to explore the use of ultrasonics for distance measurements and proximity detection. This kit offers two Series 9000 Transducers and two supporting Ranging Modules. Also included in the kit are booklets detailing the theory and operation of the Transducer and Module. The OEM Kit is packaged in a plastic storage tray, making storage of the kit convenient.
