Ansell Disposable Glove Line Meets Needs for Wide Range of Applications

Glove portfolio eliminates product redundancies, includes updated packaging

RED BANK, NJ (January 16, 2009) - Ansell launches a new portfolio of vinyl and latex disposable gloves designed for a wide range of food handling, general duty and light industrial applications. The glove styles are offered as part of Ansell's Dura-Touch® and Conform® brands. The company will phase out its VersaTouch and FoodMates® brand gloves.

"The new portfolio streamlines our product offering and eliminates redundancies among various styles," said Bill Bennett, marketing manager, chemical and disposable products. "We believe the new packaging will make product identification easier and have broader appeal across all industries."

Dura-Touch and Conform brand gloves are available in packaging with bold colors and prominent product information on all panels of the shipper carton to simplify product recognition for warehouse workers. Details on each package are presented in English, Spanish and French to accommodate a more diverse audience.

Ansell offers nine Dura-Touch vinyl disposable glove styles made with PVC for extra durability. Dura-Touch gloves are offered in heavier weight premium lightly powdered and powder free styles, and standard weight lightly powdered and powder free styles to cover a wide variety of customer applications.

The Conform natural rubber latex styles provide a high level of dexterity while offering the strength and comfort characteristic of natural rubber latex. The six styles offered may be purchased as premium lightly powdered and powder free versions, and standard lightly powdered and powder free versions.

Ansell Conform and Dura-Touch gloves are available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes and comply with FDA regulations for food contact.

"Workers will want standard gloves for low intensity applications where there is little risk of snags and abrasions," Bennett said. "Premium gloves are appropriate for more rigorous environments and when workers do not need to change gloves frequently. The premium gloves are also more durable and help provide product protection in applications where contamination is a concern."
