Santa Fe Springs, August 2004: Densitron has announced a new version of its popular DV4900 that now includes a white or blue LED backlight. The DV4900, a 100 x 33 resolution display offers a single IC controller with integrated charge-pump, software contrast adjustment, and temperature compensation.

Measuring in at a compact 80 x 35mm (3.15" x 1.38") with a viewing area of 67.15 x 25mm (2.64" x 0.98") the module is ideal for hand-held portable applications. The operating temperature of -20 to +70 degree C, and an operating voltage of 5V or 3V also allow the module to work well in applications such as portable instrumentation that is used indoors and outdoors. Available with FSTN fluid, the module provides a clear high contrast black on white display.
