Displacement Transducers operate in high radiation areas.

Press Release Summary:

PY non-contacting displacement transducers are designed to operate under high temperature and cryogenic conditions, as well as in environments where radiation is present. Transducers use variable reluctance principles in double coil configuration and work with any magnetic material. Measuring range is 1.5-6 mm and transducer is suitable for use in temperatures from -220 to +600°C and with radiation doses up to 100G Rad.

Displacement Transducers Designed for High Radiation and High Temperature Environments

PY non-contacting displacement transducers are designed to operate under high temperature and cryogenic conditions, as well as environments where radiation is present. The transducers use variable reluctance principles in a double coil configuration. Widely used in the nuclear industry; turbines; high pressure testing chambers, such as autoclaves; and research laboratories, RDP's PY Series delivers high accuracy by measuring the distance between the transducers front face and the target. The non-contact variable reluctance principle works with any magnetic material, measuring ranges from 1.5 mm to 6 mm and is suitable for temperatures from -220°C to +600°C and radiation doses up to 100G Rad. RDP Signal conditioning linearising amplifier units are available for use with the PY Series.
