Continuous, Pulseless Reagent Dispensing at MD&M West

The PDS-100 Smooth-flo is ideal for diagnostic test strip manufacturing and will be on display at the upcoming MD&M West Expo.

The PDS-100 Smooth-flo is a unique valveless dispensing and metering system which utilizes dual ceramic piston pumps, precisely synchronized, to provide continuous, pulse-free fluid delivery down to 15 uL/min.

Pump heads are integrally mounted to the control unit, which includes stepper motors, drivers and programmable electronics. All are housed in a rugged anodized aluminum enclosure suitable for wall mounting or bench top installation in the laboratory or production areas.

The PDS-100 Smooth-flo also features intuitive, menu-driven programming using convenient front-panel membrane switches and a large LCD display.

The PDS-100 Smooth-flo will easily interface with standard electronic process control inputs including RS485, 4-20 mA, 0-5VDC and 0-10 VDC.

The system includes tubing, fittings and configuration instructions for PDS-100 Smooth-flo operation. Universal Power Input operates on 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz.

Typical applications include: diagnostic test strip manufacture, continuous bead adhesive dispensing, solvent welding for disposable medical component assembly, and sample feed to analytical instrumentation including flow cells.

Fluid Metering is certified as compliant with ISO 9001 quality standards. The Fluid Metering Catalog details operating principles, pump capacities, motor characteristics, materials of construction, typical applications and ordering information.
