Reduce Maintenance Time with Weidmuller's New and Improved WTR 2.5 Disconnect Terminal

RICHMOND, VA (September 13, 2006) Continuity checks, voltage testing and power distribution are quick and easy with Weidmuller's new WTR 2.5 disconnect terminal. This disconnect terminal now accepts pluggable jumpers, which will save significant time in installation and maintenance. Rather than screwing jumpers to each terminal block, you can quickly plug multiple poles in place with a simple press to the back of the insulation sleeve.

You can easily make the disconnection by using either the supplied lever or the separately ordered, pull-pin (TNST). To take equipment totally off-line for maintenance, or repair purposes, simply remove the disconnect. The new lever is smaller in size and conforms to the standard profile used in the standard portfolio of tension, IDC, and Push-in disconnect terminals. One grouping of accessories now works with all of the multiple terminal block technology series, and increases the range of possible applications. The fuse holder SIHA is all that is needed to create a fuse terminal. The component plug holder (BEST) converts the WTR into a component holder where diodes, resistors and the like can be soldered in place. In addition, the integrated test sockets allow for 2.3 mm banana plugs to be used for continuity, voltage or current tests. This method of testing guarantees the best possible readings.
