Columbia Offers Modular Plastic Discharge Conveyor for Increased Stability

Columbia Machine is now using Intralox® modular plastic conveyor belting for palletizer discharge conveyors, providing a more stable means for transporting unitized loads. Intralox conveyor systems provide a smoother transition for full product loads as they exit the palletizer, and reduce load separation that is possible with roller discharge conveyors.

Columbia's design engineers worked closely with Intralox to develop this new style of conveyor, which offers a less-expensive alternative to using slat conveyors, while eliminating the chordal action that can cause load degradation.

Intralox is considered a world leader in modular plastic conveyor belting. The belts are assembled in strong interlocked patterns, while the machinery features heavy-duty welded construction for long life. The conveyors are offered in standard sizes, plus custom lengths and widths depending on particular product and plant requirements.

For more than 40 years, Columbia Machine has manufactured high-level, floor-level, and robotic palletizers and accessories in the USA. All Columbia products are backed by 24-hour customer support and parts service.
