Hirschmann CBN Disc Holder for Wire EDM
HIRSCHMANN Engineering USA, Inc., Buffalo Grove, IL announces the availability of a newly designed disc holder, Model HE4232, for use with their popular Fixturing System 4000. This new product provides quick and positive clamping of Polycrystalline Diamond CBN discs.
Designed specifically for the abrasive cutting tool industry, this new device assures that the discs will be held perfectly flat and well into the cutting zone of a wire EDM. The HE4232 is mounted to the HIRSCHMANN 4000 series quick-change pallet system, (as shown in the attached photo) which allows for
off-line set up and alignment. Two clearance holes on 50mm centers are also provided for permanent mounting directly to the machine table.
The holder is designed for 2.35" diameter discs up to .2" thick. It allows a maximum cutting area while firmly holding the disc. The distance from the bottom of the disc to the machine table is the same with either mounting so that accurate tapers can be cut. The HE4232 is now available for delivery from stock. Alternative versions of the HE4232 for different diameter discs are available upon request.
