New From Ruland! Discflex(TM) Disc Couplings

Ruland Manufacturing Co., Inc. has expanded its motion control coupling line to include Discflex(TM) miniature disc couplings.

Discflex(TM) miniature disc couplings are an assembly of two anodized aluminum hubs, a center spacer (double disc style only) and multiple flat stainless steel disc springs to transmit torque. The thin discs allow for a substantial amount of angular and parallel misalignment between shafts, while remaining rigid under torque loads. This results in a high performance motion control coupling with excellent speed capabilities up to 10,000 rpm, strength and torsional stiffness characteristics, and low inertia for today's highly responsive systems.

The Discflex(TM) miniature disc couplings are available in a single disc style or a double disc style with either an anodized aluminum center spacer or an electrically isolating acetal center spacer. Standard sizes are stocked with outside diameters from .59"(15mm) to 2.250"(57.2mm) in both NOMAR® clamp style and set screw style. A large variety of inch and metric bore sizes are available from .125" (3mm) to 1.250" (30mm).
