Directional Valve diiverts or selects flow.

Press Release Summary:

Balanced 3-way directional control valve diverts flow between 2 outlets. It is available in sizes for l/2 to 4 in. pipe, with pressure ratings from 150 to 10,000 psi. Applications include diverting positive displacement pump discharge without deadheading pump and pump unloading where 1 of 2 outlets can go to nozzles, and other can go back to reservoir. In reverse direction, it can be used to select either of two inlets.

Original Press Release:

3-Way Directional Valve Has Optimum Balanced Design to Divert or Select Flow

A versatile 3-way directional control valve that consistently diverts flow between two outlets is available from The Valv-Trol Company. The Valv-Trol Balanced 3-Way Directional Valve is precision-balanced to provide smooth shifting with pressure in any port.

This valve is ideal for positive displacement pump applications, as it diverts the pump discharge without deadheading the pump. It is also ideal for pump unloading, as one of two outlets can go to nozzles and the other back to reservoir. In the reverse direction, it can be used to select either of two inlets. The valve can be used where general directional control of most liquids is needed-from water to sticky adhesives.

The Balanced 3-Way Directional Valve is available in sizes from l/2" to 4" pipe. Pressures range from 150 PSI (10 bar) to 10,000 PSI (690 bar). Custom features and materials of construction are also available to suit the application.

Available 304SS body construction and hardened stainless steel trim provide superior erosion and corrosion resistance. Pneumatic or hydraulic actuators are also available.

The Balanced 3-Way Directional Valve is one of Valv-Trol's Quality High Pressure Water Valves that are typically used in raw water or 95/5 high pressure water systems. Valv-Trol Valves, first made in 1947. are known for their interchangeable parts and ease of service. Pressure ratings are 150 (10 bar) to 30,000 PSI (2069 bar).
