KRYTAR Announces Two New Directional Couplers with 30 dB Coupling Over 4.0 to 12.4 and 7.0 to 12.4 GHz Frequency Ranges
SUNNYVALE, CALIF. - - - KRYTAR, Inc., a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment announces the continued expansion of its line of directional couplers with the addition of two new models offering 30 dB of Coupling over the frequency range of 4.0 to 12.4 GHz and 7.0 to 12.4 GHz, each in a single, compact and lightweight package.
KRYTAR’s new directional couplers expand the family of superior performance products offering 4.0 to 12.4 GHz coverage in compact packages. KRYTAR’s new couplers are multi-purpose, stripline designs that exhibit excellent coupling. Model 120430 covers the 4.0 to 12.4 GHz frequency band, while Model 120730 covers the 7.0 to 12.4 GHz frequency band.
These new couplers are uniquely designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. They provide solutions for many narrowband applications including electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, SATCOM, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing environments. For many space-restricted applications the compact size makes KRYTAR directional couplers ideal.
Both of KRYTAR’s new couplers enhanced the product line with performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 30 dB, ±1.0 dB and Frequency Sensitivity of ±0.30 dB. Each directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 0.50 dB, Directivity of 15 dB, Maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.35, Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The directional couplers come with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors. The compact packages measure 1.40 inches (L) x 0.40 inches (W) x 0.66 inches (H), and weigh just 1.0 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. The new directional couplers can be manufactured to meet ridged military specifications.
