Directional Control Valves offer metering spool option.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for commercial asphalt pavers, CDS 100 Series Circuit Valves are useful where multiple functions operate simultaneously, machine horsepower and pump flow are limited, or flow amplification is needed. Series CDS 60 is offered with enclosed levers and joysticks, which provide protection against dirt, dust, and moisture contamination. Available in CDS 60 and CDS 100 model sizes, metering spools are suited for equipment requiring accurate speed modulation for precise control.

Sauer-Danfoss Extends its Line of Directional Control Valves

Additional options to enhance performance include the Series Circuit valve, enclosed levers and joysticks, and metering spools, in CDS 60 and CDS 100 families

AMES, IOWA, USA - SAUER-DANFOSS INC. (NYSE:SHS) Today's mobile machine manufacturers need more efficient systems and maximum control capabilities to provide exceptional machine performance despite stricter emissions requirements. Sauer-Danfoss has developed innovative solutions to meet these needs, including an extended line of Directional Control Valves. The new CDS 100 Series Circuit valve released today joins the Parallel and Tandem valves in Sauer-Danfoss' popular CDS 60 and CDS 100 model sizes. Their CDS 60 model also now includes enclosed levers and joysticks to provide customers with additional contamination protection for the most extreme applications. In addition, all valve models have expanded to include optional metering spools that allow operators to perform more precise work where sensitive and accurate control is required.

"The new valve and added options can enhance the efficiency, productivity and durability of a machine," said Rob Arndt, Global Product Portfolio Manager at Sauer-Danfoss. "We wanted to address current market needs, such as compensating for lost horsepower due to "Tier" emission requirements, incorporating smaller hydraulic systems, and minimizing energy consumption. We expanded the CDS 100 line with the Series Circuit to offer OEMs a fuller selection of circuit options that will enable them to design vehicles with optimum flow and maximum power."

CDS 100 Series Circuit
The new Series Circuit in the CDS 100 model size has its biggest market in road building, such as commercial class asphalt pavers, due to its lower pressure drop which helps improve machine efficiency. The Series Circuit is useful where multiple functions operate at the same time, machine horsepower and pump flow are limited, or flow amplification is needed for fast response. Each work function is then capable of full pump flow, regardless of the number of work functions operating.

CDS 60 with enclosed levers and joysticks
Sauer-Danfoss is also offering its CDS 60 valves with enclosed levers and joysticks, which provides additional protection against dirt, dust and moisture contamination for a more durable and robust handle solution. By reducing the contaminants that wear on the components, it extends the life of the hydraulic system and can decrease maintenance costs and down time. CDS enclosed levers and joysticks have been successful in applications such as backhoe loaders.

CDS 60 and CDS 100 with metering spools
The metering spools, available in both CDS 60 and CDS 100 model sizes, work well on equipment requiring accurate speed modulation for precise control, such as the boom, swing and stabilizer circuits in a tractor backhoe loader. The metering spools were added to the product line to provide enhanced performance for demanding applications, such as road building, construction and agriculture.
