Direct Drive Motors deliver up to 10,000 rpm speed.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for optics applications and direct drive rotary table systems, ULT Series direct drive frameless motors are available in sizes down to 27 mm dia with axial length as low as 8 mm and up to 20 mm through hole. They operate from traditional 3-phase trapezoidal or sinusoidal motor controllers ranging from 12-320 Vdc. Units can be utilized for precision positioning with use of high resolution encoder or for continuous scanning in medical devices.

ULT Motors Extend to Smaller Sizes!

Applimotion's ULT Series direct drive frameless motors are now available in sizes down to 27 mm diameter with axial length as low as 8 mm and up to a 20 mm through hole. ULT
motors have been applied in hundreds of applications world wide where direct drive low
profile motors enable customers to reduce system height. This new extension to smaller
sizes positions ULT motors for optics applications as well as traditional direct drive rotary table systems. They are excellent for precision positioning with the use of a high resolution encoder or for continuous scanning in medical devices, computer component manufacturing or optical inspection.

ULT motors operate from traditional three phase trapezoidal or sinusoidal motor controllers ranging from 12 - 320 volts DC. Successful applications using have also been realized with sensorless motor controllers. ULT motors can achieve high speeds, up to 10,000 rpm, which is uncommon for direct drive motors and useful in some scanning applications. Hall Devices and special cable/connector options are available.

Applimotion, Inc. is located in Loomis, CA. The company's goal is to make unique
brushless motors affordable. With expertise in motor design and motion engineering,
Applimotion engineers create application specific motors for OEM customers. Whether it's a low volume performance driven application produced in CA, or a high volume value driven off shore manufactured motor, Applimotion has a solution.
