Direct Drive handles oversized, mismatched loads.

Press Release Summary:

SilverMax(TM) combines controller, driver, encoder, and ac brushless motor into single integrated package that can direct drive oversized inertial loads such as flywheels and belt driven slides. It is available in NEMA 17, 23, and 34 sizes, with UL/CE marks in both IP50 and IP65 ratings. PVIA(TM) control provides greater stability and accuracy than traditional PID servo control and achieves 100:1 and higher inertial mismatches.

Original Press Release:

Direct Drive Large Loads with 100:1 Inertial Mismatch

QuickSilver Controls, Inc. in Covina, California announces the SilverMax(TM) ability to direct drive oversized inertial loads such as flywheels and belt driven slides. SilverMax(TM) does not use the traditional PID servo control; it uses a more advanced control called PVIA(TM) (Position, Velocity Feedback/Feedforward, Integral, Acceleration Feedback/Feedforward). The combination of PVIA(TM) and the patented drive technology provides greater stability and accuracy than traditional PID servo control and achieves 100:1 and higher inertial mismatches.

SilverMax(TM) combines a controller, driver, encoder, and an AC brushless motor into a single integrated package. Available in NEMA 17, 23, and 34 sizes, with UL/CE marks in both IP50 and IP65 ratings. See www.qcontrol.com for more details.
