ULT Direct Drive Frameless Motors Extend to Larger Sizes!
Applimotion's ULT Series direct drive frameless motors are now available in sizes up to 500 mm in diameter with axial length as low as 25 mm and up to a 450 mm through hole. ULT motors have been applied in hundreds of applications world wide where direct drive low profile motors frameless motor enable customers to reduce system height. This new extension positions ULT motors for turrets and gimbals as well as traditional direct drive rotary table systems. They are excellent for precision positioning with the use of a high resolution encoder or for continuous scanning in medical devices, computer component manufacturing or optical inspection.
ULT motors operate from traditional three phase trapezoidal or sinusoidal motor controllers ranging from 12 - 700 volts DC. New large diameter ULT motors can achieve speeds up to 1000 rpm, which is uncommon for direct drive motors and useful in some scanning applications. Hall Devices and special cable/connector options are available.
