J-Works. Inc has start shipping the JSB611 series of USB 2.0 Direct Digital Synthesizer Modules. The small form module series provides USB control of frequency generation to 10Mhz with a resolution of 0.28Hz. Models include square wave only output, or a sine wave / triangle wave output. The Sine wave output amplitude is 500mV peak to peak with a Signal to Noise ratio of 60dB. Total harmonic distortion is -66dBc with a Spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) of -60dBc. Triangle wave output amplitude is 500mV peak to peak. The Square wave output is a 5V TTL type output.
Wiring to the device is quick and easy using either screw type terminal blocks Software interface includes a windows driver and a DLL or Class Library API. Linux support disk is also available.
