DIN Rail Transmitter features 4-20 mA or 0-10 V output.

Press Release Summary:

Designed to isolate and retransmit dc voltage or current signals, Model TA-PR transmits full scale dc signals from 200 mV to 600 V or from 2 mA to 5 A. Housed in 35 mm DIN rail case 22.5 mm thick, it is powered by 95-240 Vac ±10% or optionally by low voltage 8-28 Vac or 9-37 Vdc. All electrical connections are via detachable screw clamp connectors. Two isolated solid state relays rated 120 mA at 125 Vac or 240 mA at 150 Vdc are optional for alarm or control.

Original Press Release:

4-20 mA DIN Rail Transmitter Isolates and Retransmits DC Voltage or Current Signals

Costa Mesa, CA - Laurel Electronics, Inc. announces the Laureate Model TA-PR, an isolated
4-20 mA or 0-10V output, DIN rail mount transmitter and controller for DC and process input signals from millivolts to volts and milliamps to amps.

Full scale DC signals can range from 200 mV to 600V or from 2 mA to 5A. The 5A range measures the IR drop across a built-in 10 mohm current shunt. All voltage and current ranges are calibrated at the factory, with calibration factors for each range stored in EEPROM. This allows ranges to be switched in the field without recalibrating the transmitter. When the input is already a process signal, the unit can serve as an isolating retransmitter.

Functionality is enhanced by firmware. An adaptive digital filter with selectable time constants can quiet the output in noisy environments, yet responds rapidly to changes in level that exceed a threshold. Scale and offset can be entered either manually or by using actual calibration signals.

The transmitter is housed in a 35 mm DIN rail case, which is only 22.5 mm (0.89") thick. It is powered by 95-240 Vac ±10% or optionally by low voltage 8-28 Vac or 9-37 Vdc. All electrical connections are via detachable screw clamp connectors.

Two isolated solid state relays rated 120 mA at 125 Vac or 240 mA at 150 Vdc are optional for alarm or control. Programmable relay operating modes include operation above or below the setpoint, latching or non-latching, hysteresis mode, and band deviation mode.

An Extended main board version allows linearization of non-linear inputs and rate from successive rations, such as flow rate from successive level readings.

The transmitter includes an RS232 port and is easily programmed using an external PC and Windows-based Instrument Setup software. This software applies to all Laureate digital panel meters, counters, timers and transmitters, and can be downloaded at no charge from Laurel's website www.laurels.com.

The base price is $235. For specifications and the pricing of options, visit www.laurels.com/transmitter-4-20-dc.htm.
