New 40 W and 60 W DIN Rail Power Supplies Feature Output Current Adjustment
Aldermaston, UK – The new 40 W DRA-40 and 60 W DRA-60 DIN rail power supply series with output current adjustment are the latest in Sunpower’s response to a growing market trend: Designers are building entire systems, including power supplies and other accessories, into single DIN rail mounted units to simplify and streamline system management. These two new series’ current adjustment function allows the output current to be adjusted via a 1 – 10 Vdc, variable resistance or PWM signal. This ‘3 in 1’ dimming function provides great flexibility in systems designed to drive LED lighting, as it can be used to control LED brightness effectively.
The power supplies can be mounted on TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15 DIN rails, and accept a full range 90 – 264 Vac input or 127- 370 Vdc input. The DRA-40 and DRA-60 ranges each comprise two models, providing 12 Vdc and 24 Vdc outputs respectively. With a working efficiency of up to 87%, these products can work in ambient temperatures from -30°C to +70°C using only air convection cooling. Cooling fans with their associated space and reliability issues are eliminated. Being only 40 mm in width, these units are well suited to limited space applications.
The DRA-40 and DRA-60 products also have short circuit protection, overload protection, over voltage protection and front panel DC voltage adjustment. The products carry UL/CUL/CB/TUV/CE safety certification and meet the requirement of IEC60950-1 Limited Power Source (LPS). Typical applications include machine vision inspection systems and LED lighting for plant cultivation systems.
