Advance Introduces New Mark X(R) Powerline Fluorescent Dimming Ballasts For T5/HO Lamps
Advance Transformer Company, Rosemont, Illinois, has announced the availability of new Mark X(R) Powerline Dimming Ballasts for the operation of one or two F54T5/HO, FT55W, or FC12T5/HO fluorescent lamps. According to Advance, the new ballasts provide
100%-1% full-range continuous dimming for maximum lighting system flexibility and improved visual comfort.
"Our new Mark X Powerline Ballasts for T5/HO lamps will help expand the application possibilities for this exciting new lamp technology," said Brian Beck, Advance's Director, Electronic Product Management. "Mark X Powerline dimmability, combined with the energy efficiency of T5/HO lamps, can make tremendous energy cost savings possible, especially when incandescent dimming systems are replaced. Since the new Advance Mark X Powerline Ballasts for T5/HO lamps take their dimming signals directly from the power line, no additional control wiring is required, making installation a simple process. The ballast can operate with a wide variety of controls from over 20 control manufacturers, including wall box dimmers, architectural dimmers, occupancy sensors, and others. The ballasts can be easily integrated into such systems as total building lighting control systems, theatrical control panels, and remote control via computer systems.
Mark X Powerline ballasts provide programmed-start operation for optimized T5/HO lamp life in frequent starting conditions. They will provide lamp ignition at any light setting, including the 1% dim level, making it unnecessary to ramp up to 100% light output when starting. Other features include operation above 40kHz to minimize risk of interference problems, and a special lamp end-of-life detection system that safely removes power from the lamp at its end of life, helping prevent lamp overheating.
Mark X Powerline Ballasts for T5/HO lamps are encapsulated in low-profile cases 16.70" in length, 1.00" in height, and 1.18" in width. They include color-coded, poke-in connectors for fast, easy and mistake-free installation. Catalog numbers for the new ballasts are REZ-154 (one lamp, 120 volts), REZ-2S54 (two lamps, 120 volts), VEZ-154 (one lamp, 277 volts), and VEZ-2S54 (two lamps, 277 volts).
