Munich - With the launch of its DVR 670, Bosch announces the latest member of the Digital Video Recorder 600 Series, a complete video management solution for up to 16 cameras in a single compact unit. The DVR 670 complements this highly successful series by offering real-time recording in 4CIF resolution simultaneously on all channels.

Ease-of-use out of the box

Very simple to install and operate, the DVR 670 requires no special training and a minimum of maintenance. Once the unit is connected, the user only needs to enter the language, date, and time for the system to begin recording automatically. The DVR 670 is designed to keep working reliably, thus further reducing operating costs. Live viewing is possible in multiple display aspect ratios, from smartphones right up to wide screen, high resolution monitors.

The system can be managed locally using a Bosch IntuiKey keyboard, mouse, infrared remote control or directly via the front panel. Since all models in the 600 Series support keyboard loopthrough, up to 16 of these recorders can be operated from a single IntuiKey keyboard.

The DVR 670 also offers a number of remote management options, allowing operators to control the video and recording anywhere via LAN, WAN or the Internet. These include the bundled Bosch Control Center software, which enables the centralized configuration, viewing and control of multiple 600 Series recorders. In addition, a zero-install web client is available, as well as the new Bosch DVR Viewer mobile app for live viewing and PTZ control on iPhone, iPad or iPod.

Available with an optional integrated DVD writer and in a wide range of storage capacities, the new Bosch DVR 670 makes use of highly efficient H.264 compression to significantly lower both bandwidth and storage requirements. This is achieved without compromising excellent image quality: the DVR 670 provides full real-time recording in 4CIF resolution simultaneously on all channels.

Alongside event capture by triggering inputs or motion detection, the DVR 670 now adds a 10-second video clip to automatic e-mail notification. Operators will also appreciate such time-saving features as 'Smart Search' which helps to locate key events in recorded video by looking for changes in a selected area. Critical recordings are safeguarded by overwrite protection, while all video is digitally watermarked to ensure recording credibility. Finally, an archive player with image authentication allows scenes to be viewed on any PC, without having to install additional software.

This affordable, compact and flexible video management solution is ideal for a variety of small to medium-sized applications, including schools, shops, banks or hotels, as well as larger enterprises with several locations.
