New Generation Embedded 16CH D1 Video Motherboard

Taipei, Taiwan, February 2009: Advantech, the leading industrial ePlatform provider, is proud to bring a new solution for a new generation of video surveillance applications to market, the DVMB-764. The DVMB-764 is a high performance digital video motherboard built on an Intel® Q965 Core(TM)2 Duo/Quad Core platform and a 16-channel MPEG4 hardware encoding engine. Leveraging industrial motherboard design technologies, Advantech has embedded four MPEG4 codecs into the motherboard to develop a new generation, all-in-one, integrated video motherboard. It completely replaces PC-based DVR system structures, which traditionally have been used to combine motherboard and video capture cards. DVMB-764 sets a new standard over the current configuration of security monitoring products, by integrating PC platform and DVR technology providing clients with efficient, reliable and economic solutions.

High Performance with Slim Size

The DVMB-764 supports 16-channel video encoding at D1 resolution and a total of 480 frames per second. The hardware audio/video codecs integrate multiple functions such as real time preview, encoding, smart quad, motion detection, OSD, and video playback. The codecs are able to generate multiple MPEG4 and MJPEG video streams for storage, and raw video streams for video analysis. In addition to an on-board graphics engine and SATA RAID 6 support, an additional graphics card and hardware RAID card can also be implemented via a PCIe interface. A standard ATX formfactor and rugged design with duo LAN, duo IDE, and all solid capacitors, make the DVMB-764 the idea platform for such high performance digital video applications as intelligent video analysis, video conferencing, PC-based DVR, and hybrid DVR. In other words, DVMB-764 demonstrates the same performance in a smaller footprint as general PC-based DVR systems with a traditional motherboard and capture card configuration. The space saving platform gives system integrators higher flexibility and a lower component cost. Targeted at DVR software companies, Advantech provides a complete SDK (Software Development Kit) with demo program to help value-added integrators design their own integrated surveillance solutions using the DVMB-764.
