Cornet Digital Drive Provides 6 Kilowatts

Westford, Massachusetts - Elmo Motion Control has developed the newest member of the SimplIQ drives family, the Cornet, with up to 3 kw of continuous power and 6 kw of peak power in a small 7.1" by 4.8" by 3.0" sized package weighing less than 2.4 lbs. These high power density digital servo drives with built in power supply possess a high level of intelligent programmability, feedback options, and communications protocols. The standard Cornet version incorporates feedback signal processing capability for incremental encoders, analog sin/cos encoders and resolvers.

The 6 Cornet models vary from the smallest, the 1370 watt model, #5/230 (5 amps rms, 230 volts ac) up to the largest, the 3070 watt model, #6/460 (6 amps, 460 volts ac). The Cornet digital servo drive family incorporates up to 32 kbytes of user programmable memory for controlling complex motion profiles, as well as event triggering and capturing functions.

Elmo offers a powerful Microsoft Windows based software suite, the Composer. This comprehensive software application suite features set up, configuration, and download software modules. The Composer's Motion Tuner software module furnishes manual and automatic tuning of current, velocity and position values. The Motion Monitor provides a visual scope picture for viewing the important system operating parameters. The Composer Table Editor module displays the PVT tables (position, velocity, time) and establishes testing tools for real-time multi-axis synchronized motion trajectories.
