Original Press Release:

Short Wave UV Digital Radiometer Provides Super Accuracy

Westbury, New York - Spectronics Corporation has redesigned its Spectroline® DM-254XA short wave UV digital radiometer to ensure extremely accurate measurement of 254nm UV sources. It delivers reliable results for dozens of scientific, medical and industrial applications, ranging from erasing EPROM chips and semiconductor wafers to DNA research, virology and UV sterilization.

The new DM-254XA utilizes upgraded sensor components and improved
calibration light sources that ensure error-free readings and more repeatable results. A rugged silicon photodiode is sealed and fixed in a metal/quartz package to protect against shock and humidity.

The hand-held radiometer allows easy measurement of short wave UV (254nm) with an overall accuracy of better than ±5%, directly traceable to NIST. The meter measures from 0 to 19,990 µW/cm² and has a resolution of 10 µW/cm² for high sensitivity.

The DM-254XA has a large 4½ digit LED display that makes it easy to read even in low-lighting conditions. The sensor head is attached to the digital readout unit by a 2 foot (0.6 m) coiled cord that stores conveniently within the meter case lid.
