Five-Digit Process Panel Meter Provides 0.01% Accuracy at 60 Readings/sec
Costa Mesa, CA - Laurel Electronics, Inc. announces the Laureate Model P, a UL-listed digital panel meter for process signals such as 4-20 mA, 0-5 V or 0-10 V, which require zero and span adjustment. The display can be scaled to five full digits from the front panel to read in engineering units, such as PSI or GPM. Accuracy is 0.01% of full scale ± 2 counts.
The meter read rate is an exceptional fast 60/second. Such a high read rate is ideal for alarm or control, for peak capture, and for computer interface. Noise filtering is provided by a programmable adaptive moving average filter, which provides stable readings in the presence of random noise, yet responds rapidly to actual changes in signal level.
The peak and valley values of the input signal are automatically captured and may be displayed via a front panel pushbutton command or a control signal at the rear connector.
Three meter scaling methods are user selectable: manually entered scale and offset, manually entered two-points, and two-point method using actual transducer signals. The third method has the ability to calibrate the meter and transducer as a system with minimum effort.
A built-in, isolated excitation supply with selectable 5, 10, and 24 Vdc output levels is standard to power transducers or transmitters. The meter's isolated 24 Vdc excitation output is ideal for powering two-wire, 4-20 mA transmitters.
Options include dual 8A relays for alarm or control, an isolated 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA or 0-10V analog transmitter output, and an RS232 or a RS485 port for serial communications with a host computer or PLC. The Modbus Protocol is selectable and is fully supported, along with a simpler Custom ASCII protocol.
