Digital NIR Cameras use InGaAs sensors.

Press Release Summary:

Available with 2 different InGaAs sensors, Goldeye Cameras deliver 320 x 256 pixel resolution with 100 fps image rate and 640 x 512 pixel resolution with 30 fps, respectively. Sensor technology offers optimal sensitivity in NIR band and in SWIR from 900-1,700 nm. Offering Peltier cooling and either GigE or Camera Link interface, cameras enable inspection of material qualities that are not visible to human eye such as temperature, chemical composition, or moisture content.

AVT Goldeye Infrared Cameras Make the Invisible Visible

With the Goldeye, Allied Vision Technologies presents its new NIR/SWIR camera family.

Following the acquisition of VDS Vosskühler, leading camera manufacturer Allied Vision Technologies has expanded its portfolio with the Goldeye family - high-quality, digital near-infrared cameras.

InGaAs sensors for optimal infrared sensitivity

Goldeye cameras are equipped with InGaAs sensors. This sensor technology offers optimal sensitivity in the near-infrared (NIR) band and in short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) between 900 und 1,700 nm wavelength. Infrared imaging enables inspection of material qualities that are not visible to the human eye - such as temperature, chemical composition or moisture content. On the other hand, certain materials are transparent within the infrared band, allowing infrared imaging to make the inner life of certain objects visible. Infrared cameras have a range of applications in industry (semiconductor inspection), laser technology, biology and medical technology, among others.

The AVT Goldeye family is available with two different InGaAs sensors that deliver 320 x 256 pixel resolution and 100 fps image rate and 640 x 512 pixel resolution and 30 fps, respectively.

Active cooling for best image quality

All Goldeye camera family models are equipped either by default or optionally with Peltier cooling. Active sensor cooling is especially suited for long exposure times, enabling excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

The Goldeye is available with either Gigabit Ethernet or Camera Link interface.
