Meterman® Debuts Innovative XR-Series DMMs
Wavetek Meterman® is launching five new multimeters called the XR-Series which are uniquely designed for different industry segments. Since multimeters have become more complex in their feature offering, we took the guesswork out of buying the meter that is right for the job. Now users can be assured they are buying a well-known meter brand with the right capabilities.
Here's how the Wavetek Meterman XR-Series supports the various market segments. All five meters start with being housed in a specially designed ergonomic case with a Magne-Grip(TM) holster. This holster with its hanging magnet strap allows for hands-free usage of the meter.
The series begins with the low-cost, full-featured Model 30XR. It contains an integrated, non-contact voltage tester for detecting live AC voltages. Two mid-priced models, the 33XR and 34XR, are designed for the field service engineer or contractor. The electrical, HVAC or facilities maintenance technician will appreciate the built-in temperature, capacitance and frequency measurement capabilities. The 34XR even offers true-rms and autoranging features.
For the electronic professional, the Model 37XR has 0.1 percent accuracy with 10,000-count for high measurement resolution. The integrated LCR meter for component testing, logic test, frequency and dBm capabilities round out its feature set.
The XR Series meets the needs of the industrial meter user with Model 38XR. Also true-rms capable with high accuracy, this meter offers an optical RS232 output for data logging of all measurement events. This feature allows the user to analyze, record or compare results to other data. Throw in its 4 to 20 mA loop current test, temperature, frequency, and capacitance and it is easy to see why this meter will support technicians who work in the rugged process or industrial environment.
