Extech 400 Series MultiMeters; Features Built-In Non-Contact IR Temperature Measurements and True RMS
The ergonomically designed Extech 400 Series MultiMeters includes five models, all rated CAT III-600V. The Extech 410 is a basic manual ranging DMM priced at $39 and even at that price offers Type K temperature measurements, UL listing, and high resolution readings on a backlit display. The Extech 411 is similar to the Extech 410 except that it offers True RMS measurements for only $59. The autoranging, True RMS Extech 430 adds a 4000 count display, capacitance and frequency measurements, and a 3 year warranty to its features, all for $79. The Extech 450 and 470 uniquely feature non-contact InfraRed (IR) temperature measurements in addition to their DMM functions. The Extech 470 is the top of the line True RMS multimeter at $129 and includes Type K temperature measurements in addition to IR. There is more - the Extech 400 Series includes low current ranges for use with current clamp-on adaptors, audible and visible input warnings, and a display of large 1" digits.
The Extech 400 Series provides high resolution measurements including AC/DC voltage with 0.1mV resolution and AC/DC current with 0.1µA resolution. Features include MAX and RELATIVE functions. The basic DCV accuracy for the Extech 410, EX411, and EX450 is 0.5% and 0.3% for the 430 and EX470. The series has been ergonomically designed to fit the hand comfortably and for one-hand operation. Complete with CAT III test leads, multi-position tilt stand, Velcro strip for hanging, protective holster with test lead holder, bead wire temperature probe (except Extech 450), and 9V battery.
