Dortronics Offers Stand-Alone Digital Keypad Controls
Feature Rich Indoor/ Outdoor Keypads Shipped From Stock.
Sag Harbor, NY (December 21, 2005) - Building facility managers often find themselves called upon to implement additional security measures such as keypad controls for back and side door entrances or for storage closets that contain valuable equipment. In most cases, the need for such devices seems to fall within the priority category of "we needed to install it yesterday."
A timely and cost effective solution for this problem is now available from Dortronics, Inc. with the recent introduction of their new 8112 Series Digital Keypads. Designed to control independent doors and gates, all programming of the keypad is accomplished from the front panel without need of a separate programmer. The unit is available for indoor (8112) and outdoor (weather resistant 8112WR) applications.
"Securing a stand alone access/egress point to a facility or rendering an interior section of a facility 'off limits' except to authorized personnel are common occurrences and should not be difficult, time-consuming or expensive to implement," said John FitzPatrick, Vice President, Dortronics Systems, Inc. "Our new 8112 Series Digital Keypads offer the perfect solution since they are quick and easy to install and offer many of the benefits found in systems based control."
The new 8112 Series Digital Keypads are designed for stand alone entry/egress operations with programming accomplished entirely from the front panel with guidance provided from LED's and a sounder. The keypads also can be used to activate panic alarms. Additional features include up to 120 valid user codes with restrictions for specific time access; activation of lights or cameras prompted via the programming; keypad interaction/feedback acknowledged by LED illumination and momentary activation of the unit's sounder; and the ability to simultaneously monitor up to eight 8112 Series Digital Keypads and ability to generate a real time audit trails using an optional printer interface.
Four programmable time delays (1-90 seconds) and four independent outputs are built into 8112 Series Digital Keypads for optimum usage flexibility. Three outdoor models and one indoor model are available including narrow door frame applications. For greater installation efficiency, the Dortronics 8112 Series Digital Keypads can be powered by thee same 12 or 24 volt AC/DC power supply used for an electric lock at the installation site. In the event of a power loss, programming is maintained in a non-volatile EEPROM memory to maintain codes and instructions.
The Dortronics 8112 Series Digital Keypads are in stock and available for shipping.
