Digital I/O Board provides up to 32 isolated I/O channels.

Press Release Summary:

Rack-mountable Model DBK210(TM) can be configured with up to 32 Grayhill 70M series compatible isolated solid-state digital I/O modules, but occupies same space as 16-channel boards. Modules can sense AC and DC signals and switch AC and DC loads. Four 8-channel banks can be selected as inputs or outputs via switch. LEDs for every channel indicate status. Each channel includes power-up setting that defines state of output channel at power-on.

Original Press Release:

New Isolated High-Density Digital I/O Board

CLEVELAND, May 27, 2003 - IOtech announces the addition of the DBK210(TM), a new signal conditioning option for its DaqBoard(TM) family of PCI and CompactPCI data acquisition products. The
DBK210 provides up to 32 isolated digital I/O channels in a single rack-mountable board. This is double the I/O capacity of similar boards, including IOtech's 16-channel DBK208(TM) board, yet the DBK210 occupies the same space as 16-channel boards. Channel density is particularly important to systems integrators, since larger systems require more cabinetry and more precious floor space.

The DBK210 can be configured with up to 32 Grayhill 70M series compatible isolated solid-state digital I/O modules. A wide variety of modules can be used with the DBK210 to sense AC and DC
signals and to switch AC and DC loads. Four 8-channel banks can be selected as either inputs or outputs via a switch. The DBK210 includes removable screw terminals for easy connection, plus an
LED for every channel to indicate their status. Each channel also includes a power-up setting that defines the state of the output channel at power-on, or in the event of a power failure and recovery. This is particularly important for critical control applications, where it is necessary to insure that valves and other controlled devices are in a known state at power-up.

The DBK210 is also supported by IOtech's "P2" expansion bus, which makes expansion easy and low-cost with up to eight DBK210 boards per system (256 I/O channels max). Wiring is accomplished with a single cable from the DaqBoard to the first DBK210 in the system. Additional DBK210's in the same system are daisy-chained back to the first board so that only a single cable is necessary between the PC with a DaqBoard, and the test system.

In addition to being compatible with IOtech's PCI DaqBoards, it is also compatible with IOtech's Ethernet-based DaqBook/2000E® data acquisition system. The DBK210 is supported by IOtech's
extensive suite of software support, including C++, Visual Basic®, LabVIEW®, DASYLab®, DaqView(TM), MATLAB®, and more.

Pricing and Availability
The price for the DBK210 signal conditioning board is $399. Availability from stock is 2 weeks ARO.
