New Low Force Digital Force Tester Announced

Lloyd Instruments announces the availability of the latest addition to the Chatillon® TCD range of digital force testers, the TCD110 Series. The new TCD110 Series is a stand-alone system designed for low force applications in production, quality control/quality assurance and engineering with measurement capacities of less than 500N (112 lbf).

The frame operates from 0.01 to 510 mm per minute with a standard travel of 380 mm or up to 850 mm using the optional travel extension arm. An advanced closed-loop PID controller ensures precision travel and motion control with no overshooting (accuracy is better than 0.25% unloaded). Tension, compression, shear, peel, flexural, constant load holds, creep, cycling and sophisticated multi-stage testing can be performed without the need for a computer or application software. The TCD110 System can also function as a precision high indicator with measurements based on a datum or absolute position.

The TCD110 Series features an intelligent load sensing system with measuring accuracies better than 0.1% full scale and is particularly well-suited for medical device testing, package testing, miniature spring and component validation applications where precision control and high accuracy are required.

The TCD110 Series features a common TCD Console with a large, high resolution colour graphical display featuring menus, function and numeric keys and status indicators that assist the user in setup, operation and analysis. Information may be displayed in large-format tabular and graphical formats for easy viewing. Results can be displayed in colour to distinguish between samples that are tested with results outside the prescribed tolerances. Additionally, information may be displayed in multiple languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Turkish and Russian.
