Smith & Loveless Introduce Total Pump Station Operation Convenience with the New PROTRONIX(TM) Control System
LENEXA. Kan. - Pump Station operators can now conveniently and quickly determine pump station performance by reading the Smith & Loveless PROTRONIX(TM) Control System human-machine-interface (HMI) display. This microprocessor-based digital control system automatically controls more than just the operation of the pumps. It also controls the environmental system, accessories, panel display unit, and alarm functions through isolated digital and analog input and output ports.
The new PROTRONIX(TM) Control System comes standard in the new Smith & Loveless Formula X® Wet Well Mounted Pump Station. It is also available as a controller on Smith & Loveless' Classic Wet Well Mounted Pump Station, Recessed Wet Well Mounted Pump Station, Custom Series Pump Station, and DUO-DUCT® Pump Station.
The PROTRONIX(TM) Control System interfaces with the station's wet well level transducer system without using any moving parts in the wet well. All of the station's information is displayed on an HMI.
The PROTRONIX(TM) Control System has three PROTRONIX(TM), HMI display models:
o 220 - 2-line, 20 character backlit liquid crystal display (Standard unit)
o 440 - 4-line, 40 character backlit liquid crystal display (Pump Monitoring Package)
o CTS - Color Touch Screen, 5.7" graphic interface with 256-color liquid crystal display and resistive type touch screen for data input (Station Monitoring Package)
The PROTRONIX(TM) Control System's standard package uses the Model 220 HMI display, submersible level transducer, automatic alarm reset, alarm silence switch, running time meter (individual & totalizing), pump alternation selection (in field), high water alarm, surge capacitor, lightening arrestor, and float backup for both pumps.
The standard package can be upgraded with one or more of the following Options Packages:
o Pump Monitoring Package (uses HMI Model 440)
o Station Monitoring Package (uses HMI Model CTS)
o Cold Climate Package
o Enhanced Alarm Package
