Digital Color Camera comes with two 6-pin 1394 ports.

Press Release Summary:

Model DX 10-1394a digital color camera, for industrial applications, is based on IEEE 1394 transfer technology. Digitized image data is transferred via 1394 interface, and all camera parameters can be controlled via universal high-speed bus. Camera control is asynchronous, but video data is transferred with guaranteed bandwidth in isochronous mode. 400 Mbit interface transfers 30 full frames per second at resolution of 640 x 480 pixel.

Original Press Release:

New Digital Industrial Color Camera DX 10 - 1394a

With the DX 10-1394a KAPPA is introducing a new digital color camera for industrial applications based on the IEEE 1394 transfer technology. This camera uses the latest standard for PCs and notebooks resulting in a faster and easier data transfer at lower costs.

The camera is especially suitable for industrial endoscopy and image processing. It complies with the camera specifications 1394a - 2000. The digitized image data is transferred via the 1394 interface. Thus all camera parameters can be controlled via the universal high-speed bus. The camera control is asynchronous, but the video data is transferred with a guaranteed bandwidth in isochronous mode. A really hot wire: the 400 Mbit interface transfers 30 full frames per second at a standard resolution of 640 x 480 pixel.

The DX 10 1394a comes equipped with two 6pin 1394 ports. Up to 15 cameras can be connected directly one after the other - ideal for image processing tasks. A snapshot button activates the functions for image storage and stand-by mode. Shock resistant connections guarantee absolutely safe operations also for mobile use and under vibrations.

Also for high-resolution image acquisition KAPPA will offer camera systems with 1394 interface. Accessories and other 1394 components complete the program.
