Nikon's New DXM1200F Digital Camera Available For Demonstration at the 2003 Experimental Biology Conference


Nikon Instruments, a world leader in precision optics manufacturing, introduces a breakthrough in the world of fluorescence microscopy with the new Nikon DXM1200F Digital Camera.


The DXM1200F, which replaces Nikon's top-of-the-line DXM1200, offers users many new features, including:

o true-to-life, extremely high-quality images with a 12-million-output pixel capability at a sensitivity 2.5 times higher than its predecessor

o superior and brighter image capture in low-illumination applications such as fluorescence, DIC, and dark-field observations.

o high-speed, streaming, data-transfer of 12 frames per second at a 640 x 512-pixel

o live-image display

o one-half the exposure time of the previous model - providing higher efficiency for live-image focusing and alignment as well as reduced specimen fading during fluorescence applications

o zoom capabilities of up to 800% on specimens, particularly useful in low-magnification applications.

In addition to the debut of the DXM1200F, Nikon's skilled sales force will be on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of many of Nikon's other revolutionary products, including the TIRF Microscopy System, the C1 Confocal Microscope System, and the TE2000.
