Bud Adds New Line of Die-Cast Aluminum NEMA-Rated Enclosures that Shorten Service Time
CLEVELAND - April 12,2006 - Bud Industries, Inc., the leading manufacturer of electronic enclosures, announced its CN Series NEMA-rated die-cast aluminum enclosures - the newest addition to the industry's broadest line of die-cast NEMA enclosures. The CN Series enclosures are ideal for use as instrument cases, meter cases, and junction boxes in marine applications, wet and dirty industrial applications, and wash down environments.
Unlike other brands, optional mounting flanges are molded to the base of the enclosure, rather than the lid. This means the unit can be opened without the need to detach it from the wall. Technicians can open the enclosure in half the time, reducing service time and avoiding the risk of damage to connections. In addition, one-piece molded construction eliminates welded-on plates that could trap fluids.
CN Series enclosures meet NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4x, 12, 13 and IP65 ratings. Flanged versions come in 10 sizes, ranging from 3.52-in. x 1.38-in. x 1.22-in. to 8.75-in. x 5.74-in. x 2.25-in. Un-flanged units are available in 15 sizes, ranging from 2.36-in. x 2.16-in. x 1.22-in. to 10.81-in. x 6.89-in. x 2.64-in.
The rugged #ADC-12 alloy die-cast aluminum enclosures are available in natural finish. Other finishes are available upon request. A self-adhesive gasket adheres easily to the cover, which attaches with four or six screws for a secure and tight seal.
Most sizes of CN Series -NEMA rated die-cast enclosures have internal card guides for PC board mounting or partitioning. The enclosures can be easily machined and modified to meet specific application requirements.
