Diatron to Showcase Two New Analyzers at Medica

Bringing enhanced instrumentation and value to the clinical laboratory

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY — The Diatron Group, global provider of hematology and clinical chemistry analyzers, will be showing two new, bench top analyzers on booth 3A 07 at Medica, Dusseldorf (20-23 November 2013). The new version of the established Abacus 3CT hematology analyzer has been enhanced to make it even easier to use. In addition, Diatron will also be previewing a prototype version of the brand new Pictus 500 clinical chemistry analyzer.

The new Abacus 3CT is a compact, bench top three part differential analyzer with cap piercing for closed tube sampling. Enhanced significantly from the original version, the new model comes with the latest color touch screen technology, brand new intuitive software interface and ability to read 2D barcodes for easy uploading of QC and calibration data. These new developments and the significantly reduced loading time make the Abacus 3CT very quick and easy to use. With its small footprint, the analyzer is therefore an ideal solution for small laboratories, satellite clinics and doctors' offices alike.

Visitors to the Diatron booth (3A 07) at Medica, will also have exclusive access to the prototype version of Diatron's new bench top, medium throughput clinical chemistry analyzer - the Pictus 500. The Pictus 500 is a new addition to Diatron's range of clinical chemistry analyzers which includes the Pictus 700, 400 and B models offering various levels of automation and throughput. Designed to offer market-leading performance more cost-effectively, the new Pictus 500 will have many features which are currently found only on more expensive clinical chemistry systems.

Diatron now also offers an extended range of clinical chemistry reagents for its analyzers.
