Original Press Release:

All New Small Diaphragm Pumps for Division 2 Hazardous Areas Air Dimensions Mini Dia-Vac®Pump

To fit the need for a smaller ADI Dia-Vac® pump with Division 2 certification, ADI put our engineering team to work. The result after months of testing is our UL listed Class 1 Division 2 Group A/B/C/D, (rated Zone II Group IIC T3B IP44) Hazardous Area Mini Dia-Vac® pump. This compact, yet powerful diaphragm pump is capable of flows up to21 SLPM in a single head or 36 SLPM with a dual head option. This rugged Mini Dia-Vac pump® can reach an ultimate vacuum of 26 InHg and maximum pressure up to 30 PSIG. (Please visit Air Dimensions website at www.airdimensions.com for the complete performance curve.)

The pump can be installed in any position as long as it is properly supported and is available with an elevated head option for installation into a heated enclosure. This elevated head configuration allows for the motor to be at ambient temperature, while the head maintains the temperature above the dew point of the sample gas, preventing condensation from a "cold spot" in the head chamber. The Mini Dia-Vac can be used in sample temperatures up to 200 Deg C.

ADI's Mini diaphragm pump comes complete with the Div 2 motor which can be wired for 115 or 230 volt power at 60 and 50 Hz frequency. The small size and proven durability on this New Mini Dia-Vac® pump adds a Hazardous Area dimension to what has been ADI's workhorse pump for over 25 years.

Need to Pass Corrosive Gas ....No Problem!! The Div 2 Mini Pump is available with any of our corrosion resistant arsenal of options including Solid Teflon®, Teflon®-coated Aluminum, 316 ss and Hastelloy. Diaphragm options include Teflon®/EPDM, Teflon®/Viton®, Viton®, and All-Teflon®. These options allow for contamination, oil, and leak-free sampling of gases.

Air Dimensions team of engineers can work with you one on one to determine the correct diaphragm pump for your application. Air Dimensions offers a wide variety of eccentric or stroke options whereby we can adjust the pump performance to meet your specific application requirements while enhancing diaphragm and bearing life.
