March 18, 2009, Sioux Falls, SD -- Developed for machinery that operates with hydraulic systems, Mobile Star is a next generation web-based remote diagnostics solution that provides equipment owners invaluable operational information through an optimized dashboard interface. Mobile Star equipment monitoring system gives any computer with an internet connection the ability to access any machine that is equipped with a compatible Mobile Star control system.
Once installed, Mobile Star monitors all of the equipment's specific operational parameters, including:
-- Engine information
-- Hydraulic pressures
-- Switch statuses
-- Electrical currents going to hydraulic pumps or valves
-- GPS position
-- Customizable events defined by the OEM
Operators can log onto the internet and check where their equipment is located, what the engine rpm is, what the temperature, fuel level, operating hours, oil level, operating pressure, and flow rates are, the water content of the oil, particle counts, and many other characteristics.
Mobile Star also provides a security perimeter around the equipment at night or when it is turned off. If a machine is started, moved, or tampered with, an alarm will be issued and users notified by email and phone call. The Virtual Geo Fencing feature is used to alert users when equipment leaves a specific geographical area, preventing theft or misuse of jobsite equipment.
Another unique feature is two-way communication. Full two way communication allows OEM, Dealerships, Service Centers, and end users to dial into each machine for monitoring and troubleshooting. Mobile Star provides the ability to control many operating parameters remotely, so adjustments and controls are possible from anywhere there is internet access.
Mobile Star also offers advanced data logging and reporting capabilities, such as:
