DHL Chooses Datalogic Technology for Its Package Sorting Hub at Cincinnati Airport!


Bologna, - Datalogic Group, through its subsidiary Datalogic Automation, will provide DHL with the technological solutions for sorting parcels c/o the "DHL Express" Hub of the International airport of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG).

Datalogic will supply 29 reading stations to the worldwide logistic leader, which will capture the images to save them locally, alongside 89 cameras "NVS9000" and relevant spare parts.

The sorting system that DHL uses is totally automated, with over 4 km of conveyor belts and a shipment processing capacity of up to speeds of 90.000 pieces per hour. The structure is also designed to be able to link-up to over 100 service centres and gateways throughout the United States of America.

To be pointed out finally, is that the new system supplied by Datalogic, enables 100% of real reading rate, because it is also able to manage unread parcels and those without codes, tipped parcels and those with damaged or incorrect codes.
