DeWalt Launches Its 28V Platform with NANO Technology

August 2007 - DeWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, announced the launch of 28V tool system with NANO(TM) Technology. The eight-tools are powered by NANO(TM) Technology, a proprietary technology that drives the premium line of DeWALT cordless tools. Available in Fall 2007, this line will include the 28V heavy-duty hammerdrill (DC910), reciprocating saw (DC315), 6-1/2" circular saw (DC310), impact wrench (DC810), rotary hammer (DC228), cut-off tool (DC413), jigsaw (DC318), and flashlight (DC519). The 28V system with NANO(TM) Technology provides a new line of cordless tools to help professional contractors complete a wide-range of heavy-duty jobsite applications. Features such as the drill's self-tightening chuck, the reciprocating saw's 4-position blade clamp, and the rotary hammer's SHOCKS(TM) - Active Vibration Control, help to increase productivity on the jobsite. DeWALT 28V with NANO(TM) Technology features exclusive batteries that are designed with unique Nano Phosphate Lithium Ion cells that provide users with increased battery durability and cycle life, offering 2,000 recharges*.

DeWALT will offer three cordless systems with NANO(TM) Technology, 36V, 28V and 18V. By offering these voltages with NANO(TM) Technology, DeWALT is able to provide users with an extensive range of power tools that satisfy a wide scope of user demands on the jobsite.
