Agilix(TM) Launches Two .NET Mobilized Application Platform Solutions

New .NET Platforms - GoBinder SDK and InfiNotes - to Help Developers Overcome Limits of Webbased Applications and Tablet PC Development for Mobile Professionals by Making it Easier to Build Mobilized Applications

SAN FRANCISCO and Microsoft Windows Anywhere Conference, Booth 629, Feb. 7 -- Agilix Labs, Inc., a leading provider of mobilized software and Tablet PC solutions, today announced the release of two new .NET mobilized application platform products for rapid application development: GoBinder SDK and InfiNotes. The GoBinder SDK provides a complete mobilized application development solution for building applications that enhance mobile worker productivity. InfiNotes is a developer solution for easily adding ink note-taking support to create Tablet PC applications.

GoBinder SDK offers a comprehensive solution to building the complete mobilized client application, supplying plug-in APIs to GoBinder's user interface (UI), database and synchronization modules. Applications built using the SDK are able to work effectively online or offline to empower the mobile professional. It leverages the Microsoft .NET Framework, and runs on Windows XP with support for laptops and Tablet PCs.

InfiNotes is a set of .NET controls that enable easy development of digital ink and note-taking features for building Tablet PC applications, the optimum mobile device. It allows developers to embed the full functionality of Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Journal within their application.

"There is a new trend emerging where the browser is giving way to smart clients for mobile professionals," says Curt Allen, President and CEO of Agilix. "By 2006, over 66% of the workforce, or 100 million information workers, in the U.S. will be mobile according to IDC. The software industry needs to empower them with information that is available anytime independent of network connection. The goal of the GoBinder SDK and InfiNotes is to fulfill this need."

"We are excited about the introduction of the GoBinder SDK and InfiNotes, which can make it easier for developers to build mobilized applications," said Chris Thomas, Chief Strategist of Intel's Solutions Market Development Group. "There is an enormous need for these solutions. Agilix is one of the innovators in the mobilized software revolution with their GoBinder and Mobilizer products that provide off-line access to learning content portals."

Mobilized Applications Solve the Problem of Today's Solutions for Mobile Workers

Mobilized applications are designed to get around the limits of browser- based and client-server applications for mobile workers. Today's web-hosted and client-server applications require constant connectivity for a user to be productive. Mobile professionals are not always connected, despite efforts to make wireless networking ubiquitous. Many applications break when a connection is lost. Mobilized applications provide mobile workers with offline access to enterprise information when disconnected from the network. In addition, when connected, mobilized applications automatically synchronize information changes between client and server in background, thereby keeping the mobile professional continually up-to-date.

GoBinder and Mobilizer

Agilix GoBinder is a mobilized application for higher education. The client application provides a digital replacement for the three-ring binder, allowing students and teachers to take notes, store, annotate, collaborate, organize and search on notes and documents created in either text or digital ink. Agilix Mobilizer enables students to synchronize content available on the Blackboard content management system used by over 3,500 university and college campuses worldwide to their local GoBinder database for offline access. GoBinder has been downloaded by over 25,000 students from 31 countries. Mobilizer is currently being piloted by a number of higher education institutions.
