Integrated Engineering Releases Desktop Version e-document Reader
Integrated Engineering, one of the leading RFID companies in the world, releases the first multi technology desktop version e-Document reader that covers almost 100% of all ISO 14443 A & B chips. After the introduction of the module, Integrated Engineering developed a desktop version of the e-Document reader with an USB PCSC/CCID interface and a ready-to-use housing. Because of the integrated ID3 antenna within the desktop reader it allows the use of ID1 (credit card size) up to ID3 (passport size) documents and cards, where the position of the antenna may vary or is not known.
The success of the e-document reader comes from the flexibility Integrated Engineering offers here customers, according to Jan-Peter Hulsker, CEO of the company. The e-Document reader is completely card operating system independent and can be supplied with integrated antenna or customer specific antenna. Through a special optimization in the data handling, the modules are in most cases within 50% of the specified read/write requirements according to ICAO. The Integrated Engineering reader is one of the few readers that are integrated within the ICAO Golden reader tools from Bundesamt f|r Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik in Germany.
