Overview
The IntelliStation® POWER 9114 Model 275, a high-performance deskside/desktop workstation, is an affordable 64-bit symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) system that offers significant price/performance improvement over previous models.
The POWER 9114 lowers the cost of a high-end design and analysis applications workstation. With it's 2D and 3D graphics adapters, it is the ideal single-seat MCAD design and analysis solution.
SMP uses one-way or two-way, 64-bit, copper-based, POWER4+(TM) microprocessors running at 1.45 GHz or a one-way running at 1.0 GHz. Each processor includes 8 MB of level 3 cache. The base 1 GB of main memory can be expanded to 16 GB for faster performance and exploitation of 64-bit addressing.
The Model 275 contains seven bays. Four are front-accessible, hot-swap-capable DASD bays that can contain up to 587.2 GB of disk storage. Two of the remaining three bays contain a DVD-ROM and a diskette drive. The third bay can contain a DVD-RAM or tape drive.
